Mangos

Mango

The mango is indigenous to the Indian Subcontinent. Cultivated in many tropical regions and distributed widely in the world, mango is one of the most extensively used fruits for food, juice, flavor, fragrance and color.

Most mangos sold in the United States are produced by other nations (primarily Latin America) requiring adherence to strict regimes to prevent introduction of pests such as fruit flies. While several quarantine treatments are available, hot water treatment (immersing the fruit in hot water) is by far the most popular in Latin America. However, members of the mango industry have expressed concern that hot water treatment is one reason that mango quality at the consumer level is often substandard.  Pernas Groves mangos are grown locally in the United States with loving care from our family. Each box order is hand picked and packed. We ensure every piece of fruit is of the highest quality, and surpasses all standards. You will not buy a better mango.
